United TO-4 Fluid SAE 10W, 30, 50 is a heavy-duty drive train lubricant that is designed for use in transmissions, hydraulic systems, differentials and final drives of Caterpillar equipment. It possesses the required oxidation stability, deposit control, wear protection, frictional characteristics and seal compatibility as sort forth in Caterpillar specification TO-4. It will provide excellent service in both new and older Caterpillar equipment and also meets the Allison C-4 requirements for use in Allison powershift transmissions.
United TO-4 Fluid is formulated for less corrosion of key components, including:
- Vane and piston pumps
- Steering
- Hoist
- Directional valves
- Pressure flow protection
United TO-4 Fluid is also formulated to protect against corrosion in yellow metals. Found in a wide range of systems, including hydraulic systems, thrust washers, sintered bronze friction plates and oil cooling systems, United TO-4 Fluid maintains protection of copper, resulting in optimal performance, even in the harshest circumstances.
United TO-4 Fluid is also recommended for use in some manual transmissions where the following combination of specifications are allowed: API GL-1, API CD, Cat TO-2. It should not be used to top off gear oils in these applications.
United TO-4 Fluid is available in SAE 10W, 30 and 50 viscosity grades.
