United Synthetic Multi-Viscosity TO-4 Fluid SAE 0W-20, 10W-30, 15W-40

United Synthetic Multi-Viscosity TO-4 Fluid SAE 0W-20, 10W-30, 15W-40 is a heavy-duty, full synthetic drive train lubricant that is designed for year-round performance and protection of transmissions, hydraulic systems, differentials and final drives of Caterpillar equipment. It possesses the required oxidation stability, deposit control, wear protection, frictional characteristics and seal compatibility as sort forth in Caterpillar specification TO-4. It will provide excellent service in both new and older Caterpillar equipment and also meets the Allison C-4 requirements for use in Allison powershift transmissions.

Use of United Synthetic Multi-Viscosity TO-4 Fluid will result in less corrosion of key components, including:

  • Vane and piston pumps
  • Steering
  • Hoist
  • Directional valves
  • Pressure flow protection

United Synthetic Multi-Viscosity TO-4 Fluid is also formulated to protect against corrosion in yellow metals. Found in a wide range of systems, including hydraulic systems, thrust washers, sintered bronze friction plates and oil cooling systems, United Synthetic Multi-Viscosity TO-4 Fluid maintains protection of copper, resulting in optimal performance, even in the harshest circumstances.

United Synthetic Multi-Viscosity TO-4 Fluid is also recommended for use in some manual transmissions where the following combination of specifications are allowed: API GL-1, API CD, Cat TO-2. It should not be used to top off gear oils in these applications.
